Come on out to Astronomy in the Park. See some stars. See five planets. See the Galilean Moons. See the Rings of Saturn. See the “canals” of Mars. Get Mooned by the Moon.

Astronomy in the Park, presented by the San Antonio Astronomical Association, is the longest running public star party in the San Antonio Metro area. Astronomy in the Park is held each Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Raymond Rimkus Park, 6440 Evers Rd, Leon Valley Texas, 78240, weather permitting. [Map]

SAAA General Meeting and Lecture

SAAA encourages the public to join our general meetings held on the second Friday of the month at Christ Lutheran Church of Alamo Heights, 6720 Broadway, Alamo Heights, TX  78209.

General Meeting and Lecture

Novice Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

The General Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

This month our invited lecture’s topic is “Decoding the Gundestrup Cauldron, Part 2” presented by Tom Petray.

After the Invited Lecture we will hold our business meeting.

After a short intermission, we will present our Topics in Astronomy lecture, this month’s presentation is “The Halverson Telescope”, followed by our business meeting.

This meeting is free and open to the public.
