Comet 45P will make its closest approach to Earth and can be seen with binoculars or a telescope. It will reach its maximum brightness on Saturday, Feb. 11, but it will still be visible afterward.

Join your fellow SAAA astronomers for an afternoon of solar observing at the baseball field at O.P. Schnabel Park. This event is held on the Saturday closest to Full Moon from Noon until 4 p.m..
At Members Only Events, participation is limited to SAAA members and their invited guests.

Planets in the Park at Helton Nature Park
The San Antonio River Authority and San Antonio Astronomical Association are proud to host Planets in the Park* again this year at Helton Nature Park** on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6pm until 8:30pm.
This year, in additional to seeing astronomical features through high power telescopes, we will have costumed Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion for photo opportunities!

**Please note that this program will take place in the Sports Fields area of the park located off of County Road 128. Do not use the main park entrance!
